Comets Cook Dinner for Ronald McDonald House
February 22, 2008 - Columbus, Ohio
Recently, 7 members of the Columbus Comets women’s football team traded their helmets for aprons, volunteering to prepare dinner for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House located near Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The Comets prepared a Mexican fiesta for the families, featuring homemade salsa and all the fixings for the residents to make tacos and deluxe nachos. Approximately 40-50 parents and siblings of Children’s patients enjoyed the South of the Border fare.
Ronald McDonald House offers the support of a home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated at Children’s.
