Columbus Comets 2010 Schedule

Columbus, OH -- The Women's Football Alliance (WFA) has released the 2010 league schedule for the Columbus Comets Women's Full Contact Football team. The regular season includes an eight game schedule with 6 division and 2 non-divisional opponents. The Comets are the 2009 defending National Conference Mid-Atlantic Division Champions having a perfect 8-0 regular season in 2009.
The Comets open the 2010 season on the road April 17 against the Pittsburgh Force. In 2009 action the Comets defeated the Force in both meetings.
The Comets begin a three game home stand on April 24. On the 24th they will meet the Dayton Diamonds. This will be the first meeting between the teams. On May 8 they will host the Pittsburgh Force and on May 15 they will take on the West Michigan Mayhem. The game against the Mayhem is a non-divisional rivalry game.
On May 8 the Comets face the Cincinnati Sizzle in an away contest. After that game the Comets return home on June 5 to battle the Kentucky Karma.
The Comets wind up the regular season with two away games. June 12 they will travel to take on the Dayton Diamonds. The final regular season contest on June 19 finds the Comets taking on non-divisional opponent the Toledo Reign in Toledo. This will also be the first contest between the Comets and the Reign.
The team plays home contests at Huffaker Sports Complex located at Grove City Christian School, 4770 Hoover Road in Grove City.
